    Job Purpose: 

     

    Coordinate program executions, initiatives, projects and process activities to meet sales and marketing objectives.

     

    Job Duties:

     

    *Coordinate program executions, including product introductions and changes, program updates and product line expansions. Specific responsibilities include forming and leading multidisciplinary teams, setting program timetables to accomplish objectives, monitoring team progress vs. objectives/timetable and taking appropriate corrective actions when necessary.

    *Coordinate initiatives and ongoing programs and projects. Examples include P-K training initiatives, product promotions, and other training and special initiatives.

    Facilitate communication between national account management, merchandising, marketing, customer service, and field sales and service. Forward appropriate communication, review communication for content and effectiveness and follow up to ensure timely response to inquiries/problems.

    *Work with national account management, marketing, merchandising and other functions to prepare and update training programs and materials for field sales and service. 5

    Initiate and coordinate programs and processes to resolve issues and/or continuously improve business unit operation.

    *Standardize retail sales programs and processes to improve efficiencies and business unit operating results.

    *If applicable, assign new store sets, store resets and special projects to 3rd party rep firms as necessary.

     

    *Utilizes quality/process tools and methodology in daily individual work 

    *Utilizes quality/process tools and methodology on teams 

    *Defines and documents individual processes within sphere of control 

    *Ensures that others are trained as back-ups on (processes) within the area/department 

    *Improves processes within sphere of control 

    *Identifies waste and rework and enacts plan to improve/solve 

    *Checks satisfaction of internal customers through use of quality tools and Customer/Supplier metrics 

     

    Scope of Responsibility:

     

    Sales: Execution of programs and projects has a direct impact on current and future account sales. Successful execution is essential to meeting sales objectives and customer requirements. In addition, training and account-specific initiatives directly impact sales growth.

    Information: Regular access to confidential cost, pricing and marketing and sales information. Improper communication of such information could have an adverse effect on Springs.

    Internal/External Interaction: Frequent contact and communication with National Account Managers, Vice President of Retail Sales, Product Managers, and Merchandising Manager.

     

    Education and Experience: A bachelor’s degree in business/business management. Minimum of three years of cross-functional experience in or with retail sales is preferred. Experience with/exposure to a retail sales/service organization is highly desirable. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Skills essential to successful job performance include organization and planning, controlling, analyzing, attention to detail, initiative and flexibility. Other key skills include personal and organizational sensitivity and oral and written communication.  Microsoft excel, one note, power point skills need to be a strength.

    *Clearly defines and utilizes processes in daily work 

    *Knows SWF team structure, roles and responsibilities 

    *Looks for innovative ways to streamline work processes across the division and involves stakeholders 

    *Identifies gaps using tools such as Baldridge criteria, WI Forward Award criteria, GPTW, IDP etc. 

    *Establishes forums to share best practices 

    *Uses dept and company scorecard and other metrics 

    *Measures own work to plan and reports out at a micro and macro level

     

    Requirements
