    Job Summary
    Associate will perform all the assigned responsibilities related to assembly and injection molding. This is a machine operator position that rotates between the two departments based on customer demand. Hours 6:00am-2:30pm


    Job Duties

    • Manual assembly of small parts using presses and hand held tools+
    • Run injection molding machines: trouble shoot simple alarms and restart
    • Keep machines running by refilling and mixing materials according to work order
    • Perform color changes according to work order
    • Continually watch for defects and alert trouble-shooters or team leads
    • Keep count of your production and record all counts accurately for each job
    • Performs other duties as assigned by management

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    • Must be able the work on your own or as a team member
    • Must be quality and safety conscious
    • Must be able to work all overtime as needed
    • Must be able to read a caliper or be willing to learn how to read a caliper
    • Mechanical aptitude a plus
    • Must have basic computer skills and willingness to learn
    • Must have basic math skills and know how to use a calculator
    • Must be detail oriented with quality and have good time management skills

    Physical Requirements

    • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently
    • Must be able to stand and walk for 8 hours per day
    • Must be able to push, pull, reach, and bend
    • Hand-to-eye coordination a plus
    • Must wear safety glasses and ear plugs as required

    Requirements

    Education and Experience

    * Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent

    * 3-6 months previous manufacturing experience preferred

     Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

    * Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills and able to prioritize

    * Must be able to work on their own or as part of a team

    * Mechanical aptitude a plus

    * Must be able to read a caliper or be willing to learn how to read a caliper

    * Must be safety and quality conscious

    * Must maintain an excellent attendance record and attend all safety and departmental meetings

    * Must have strong communication skills

    * Must know basic math and how to use a calculator accurately

    * Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment

     Physical Requirements

    * Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally 

    * Must be able to sit or stand for an eight hour shift

    * Must be able to push, pull, reach, bend and work overhead
    * Must wear all required PPE
