    New Product Innovation Intern

     

    The New Product Innovation Intern position is intended to assist the New Product Innovation team with early stage product development support while providing the student with valuable work experience related to their chosen field of product development and marketing.

     

    You will gain experience gathering competitive products and analyzing competitive program data, writing customer requirements to drive product concepts, developing plans for market research with consumers, preparation of preliminary project business cases, and initial intellectual property exploration, along with general project management support for the team. Springs Window Fashion also offers a competitive hourly wage and housing stipend to all of our interns!

     

    Project Work Includes:

     

    *Competitive market analysis

    *Identifying gaps in product offering

    *Preliminary business case development

    *Development of customer requirement documents

    *Reviewing prototyped product concepts

    *Writing product positioning statements

    *Preparing information for intellectual property reviews

    *Improving the product benchmarking display and storage process

    *New product brainstorming

     

    Requirements

    Skills and Requirements:

    *Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field

    *Knowledge of Microsoft Office and specifically Excel. Pivot table experience preferred

    *Basic analytical, critical thinking, and research skills learned from either course work or past-experience

    *Excellent organization skills

    *Strong collaborative communication skills (both written and verbal)

    *Positive attitude and eagerness to learn
