The Engineering Intern position is intended to assist the engineering team with project support while providing the student with valuable work experience related to their chosen field of study.
The student should be junior level or higher with a path to obtain their degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college. General coursework should include design related classes in addition to common pre-requisites in physics (statics and dynamics), fluids, material science, and heat transfer. Provide drawing and technical support to the product engineering team. This is successfully accomplished by understanding and adhering to project requirements, utilizing and applying quality tools and methods, recognizing opportunities, and pursuing continuous improvement in all aspects of product design. These efforts will have a direct impact on reducing labor and material costs, while improving value, reliability, and performance.
