The Human Resources Intern position is intended to assist the Human Resources team with support of their projects and initiatives while providing the student with valuable work experience related to Human Resources.
The student should be sophomore level or higher with a path to obtain their degree in Human Resources (or a related field) from an accredited college.
Provide support to our Associate Satisfaction and Benefits & Wellness team. This will be done by creating or following a project plan and communicating effectively with Human Resources in all company locations and providing Brilliant Service to internal customers. These efforts will have a direct impact on compliance with state and federal regulations, the successful coordination of our benefits and wellness plans and consistent and well-communicated policies and job descriptions.
Typical Job Duties:
*Document differences in policies at our locations and identify outdated policies.
*Put together an Associate Resource Guide for all locations, with appendices for each location with their specific policies and State requirements that differ.
*Assist with marketing and communications of our performance management and learning management systems to promote understanding and maximize utilization
*Update existing job descriptions for consistency regarding format, competencies.
*Assist with working with customers to get new job descriptions written where current description is outdated.
*Work with the benefits team, wellbeing partner, HR and Wellness Teams across the company on our annual biometric screening events to ensure they run smoothly.
Assist with the planning
Work on logistics
Draft communication pieces
Attend the Middleton event
*Locate beneficiaries of prior retirement plan enrollees
Complete life claim applications
Send in documentation to our insurance company to start the payment process.
Develop a spreadsheet to track all the activities and where they are in the process.
