This position will back up the material coordinator, rotate through various machine and assembly jobs in department 06, and will mainly learn to run the bigger machines such as pantograph carriage machine and Benthin carriage machines.
Hours include 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
*Scheduling of associates' work duties, and material handling when coordinator is absent.
*Ordering materials from warehouse and putting them away when coordinator is absent.
*Wrap and ticket skids as needed.
*Running Benthin area: G98 carriage assemblies and right and left trains.
*Running Pantograph area.
*Learning all department 06 jobs as required, including hand assembly, screwdrivers, riveters, doboy room and sonic welders.
*Must make productivity quotas as required in all areas.
*Must be detail oriented and keep good quality as a high priority.
*Must be willing to learn many different jobs.
*Must have good time management.
*Must work well with different personalities.
*Must work Saturdays as required and overlap overtime as required.
*Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Education and Experience
*Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent
*3-6 months previous manufacturing experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*Must be a self-starter, self-motivated, detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills and able to prioritize
*Must be able to work on their own or as part of a team
*Mechanical aptitude a plus
*Must be safety and quality conscious
*Must maintain an excellent attendance record and attend all safety and departmental meetings
*Must have strong communication skills
*Must know basic math and how to use a calculator accurately
*Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
*Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally
*Must be able to sit or stand for an eight hour shift
*Must be able to push, pull, reach, bend and work overhead
*Must wear all required PPE
