The Purpose of this job is to manage and direct associates involved in the manufacture of our products so we can satisfy the customer every time. The Production Supervisor is required to ensure that all Safety, Quality, Associate Development and CI goals are reached. This is achieved by working cooperatively with the Management Team and by holding themselves and associates in their area accountable for bottom line results. Each employee is tasked with creating Best Experiences for their coworkers. This is defined as creating an environment where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve it objectives.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
*Manage staff by training employees; developing personal growth opportunities.
*Work closely with the Management team in reviewing expectations relative to safety, quality, development and continuous improvements.
* Develop, Plan and Execute on cross training of assigned associates
*Maintain work flow by monitoring process steps; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; facilitating corrections to malfunctions within process control points as directed by the Plant Manager.
*Complete production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow.
*Maintain quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards as directed by the Plant Manager.
*Ensure operation of equipment by calling for repairs to our Maintenance department.
*Provide manufacturing information by compiling, initiating, sorting, and analyzing production performance data; answering questions and responding to requests.
*Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all equipment; maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures as directed by Plant Manager.
*Resolve personnel problems by investigating issues; identifying solutions; recommending action to Plant Management.
*Have a full understanding of company safety policies and procedures.
* Utilize Root Cause Analysis to define problems. Fish-bone and 5 Why

Education, Experience, Required Competencies, Computer Skills:
*High School Degree (or GED) or Associates Degree
*Minimum 5-7 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in a job shop environment or discrete manufacturing.
*Must be able to read, write and perform basic mathematics.
*Good communication skills (written and verbal), Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment and company objectives.
*Task oriented with customer focus
* Ability to achieve results and overcome obstacles
*Ability to make timely decisions that are in alignment with Plant Goals and initiatives
*Full understanding of 6S – Lean Management.
*Bi-lingual preferred (Spanish).
*Proficient computer skills a must, with good working knowledge of MS Office.
