    Job Purpose

    Manages all the activities of the Product Platform Teams to drive execution of the NPS projects.  Validates capacity of functional resources to meet projected dates.  Manages integration of new opportunities in context of existing commitments.  Project manages NPS projects and significant Platform Team activities.  Manage the development and implementation of the Platform Action Plan.



    Job Duties


    Manages all the activities of the Product Platform Teams to drive execution of the NPI projects.  Balances customer and Platform requirements with capacity of functional resources to develop high-level project timeline.  Project Manages NPI projects.  55%


    - Define project resource needs and determine timing of projects based on priority and our ability to execute

    - Work with functional managers to devise strategies to ensure resources are available

    - Develop Gantt, facilitate team meetings, capture key decisions and action items at team meetings

    - Manage team information repository

    - Hold team members accountable for assigned tasks, deliverables, and timelines

    - Responsible for ensuring manufacturing and procurement readiness assessment have uncovered major risks and issues

    - Oversees project managers who are project managing projects for the platform team

    - Analyze risks and outstanding issues

    - Develop contingency plans

    - Works with the platform team to ensure we launch profitable products consumers want to buy and customer want to sell on time


    Manages integration of new opportunities in context of existing commitments.  10%

    - Defines the resource implications of the new opportunity

    - Develops scheduling options for the new opportunity and/or existing commitments


    Manage the development and implementation of the Platform Action Plan. 25%

    - Develop and manage action plan to implement the Platform Business and Marketing Plan

    - Plan and facilitate Platform Team meetings

    - Track and report on progress to plan

    - Oversee coordination of SKU discontinuation activities

    - Oversee coordination of product improvement and cost reduction projects


    Manage the PCR Process10%

    - Owner of the PCR Process

    - Assist ATO Modeling in the prioritization of PCR’s

    - Coach PCR Initiators (not necessarily related to project)

    - Review PCR’s for accuracy and completeness.


    Quality - Integrates quality at the source thinking and activities in daily, individual, team and project work. (Applies to all job duties 100%)

    - Utilizes quality/process tools and methodology in daily individual work

    - Utilizes quality/process tools and methodology on teams

    - Defines and documents individual processes within sphere of control

    - Ensures that others are trained as back-ups on (processes) within the area/department

    - Improves processes within sphere of control

    - Identifies waste and rework and enacts plan to improve/solve

    - Checks satisfaction of internal customers through use of quality tools and Customer/Supplier metrics

    Education and Experience

    Minimum Education Required: Bachelor's degree

    Minimum Job-Related Experience: 3-5 years


    Prefer Bachelor's degree focused in Business or Engineering

    Prefer Project management experience in product development
