Description

Job Purpose 

This position requires an analytical approach to problem solving, with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others. We are willing to consider candidates with different backgrounds, even those who may not necessarily have all the preferred experience.

 

Job Duties

  • Product Change Requests (PCR’s) are required for creating new, revising current or obsoleting part numbers
  • Reserve part numbers for all new items that are to be created with the PCR
  • Work with Product Management, Purchasing, Engineering, Production Control and other functional areas to determine required inputs needed to complete the PCR
  • Validate accuracy of all data provided
  • Follow up on any additional information required to complete the PCR
  • Attend meetings as required
  • Approve and process PCR’s by using the information provided
  • Enter all data contained within the PCR into the FRN system
  • Data entry daily
  • Reserve Universal Product Codes (UPC) and I 2 of 5 bar codes and maintain an Excel spreadsheet of all UPC’s
  • Proof part numbers and UPC codes on packaging samples
  • Load information into the Electronic Data Interface (EDI) cross-reference screens
  • Perform Cost Rolling
  • Load part numbers into the Optimization system
  • Process literature requests through the IMR database
  • Assist Custom Modeling Programmers as required

 

Requirements

Education and Experience

 

Minimum Education Required: High School 
Preferred Education and Experience

  • Minimum high school education with exposure to business and math courses
  • Prefer to have 2 years minimum experience in business or manufacturing type atmosphere with a high degree of responsibility
  • Knowledge of SWF product lines and associated departments

  • Must be detail oriented

  • Must be a team player
  • Able to coordinate multiple projects and make daily decisions
  • Must be able to accumulate information necessary to complete various projects with a minimum amount of direction
  • Ability and willingness to identify and implement continuous improvement activities
  • Experience with FRN, Excel, Word and Outlook
  • Understanding of Master Data Management tools and methodology a plus
