Description

Job Purpose

Assists in the Coordination of account program executions, initiatives, projects and process activities to meet sales and marketing objectives for retail customers. Manages the coordination of smaller projects This position is responsible for: . Using our established processes, coordinate account program executions, including product introductions and changes, program updates and product line expansions.

 

Job Duties

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Forming and leading multidisciplinary teams, presenting to the CPC, setting program timetables to accomplish objectives, monitoring team progress vs. objectives/timetable and taking appropriate corrective actions when necessary.
  • Coordinating account specific initiatives and ongoing programs and projects. Examples include P-K training initiatives, product promotions, and other training and special initiatives.
  • Facilitating communication between national account management, merchandising, marketing, customer service, and field sales and service,  forwarding appropriate communication, reviewing communication for content and effectiveness and following up to ensure timely response to inquiries/problems.
  • Working with national account management, marketing, merchandising and other functions to prepare and update training programs and materials for field sales.
  • Initiating and coordinating programs and processes to resolve issues and/or continuously improve business unit operation.
  • Standardizing retail sales programs and processes to improve efficiencies and business unit operating results.
  • Assisting the other retail Project Managers as needed, e.g., periods of heavy activity, vacations, etc.

Scope Information

Sales: Will drive execution of rollouts at retail accounts. Execution of account programs and projects has a direct impact on current and future account sales. Successful execution is essential to meeting sales objectives and customer requirements. In addition, training and account-specific initiatives directly impact sales growth.

Information: Regular access to confidential cost, pricing and marketing and sales information. Improper communication of such information could have an adverse effect on Springs. Will need to know what information is needed, how to gather store information, compile reports to support project initiatives.

Autonomy: Will be managing and executing against project plans. Direction will be limited to milestones and mentoring.

Internal/External Interaction: Frequent contact and communication with Director of Sales, National Account Managers, VP of Retail Sales, Product Managers, Merchandising Manager, and Displays. Less frequent contact with other Springs departments.

Requirements

Experience and Education

  • 4-year degree
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of work experience;
  • Experience working in a retail setting and/or understanding of in-store operations
  • Marketing background preferred, with experience in advertising, POP materials, and event coordination.

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Project management experience with excellent organization and planning.
  • Must be able to quickly analyze information and make decisions.
  • Attention to detail. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • With a high sensitivity and oral and written communication.
  • Able to influence without direct authority to ensure projects are completed as promised.
  • Able to drive projects through the organization using personal initiative and flexibility.
