    The Sr. Sourcing Manager is responsible for creating, improving and deploying policies and procedures that establishes standard work practices for the Global Procurement organization. This position will also oversee the supplier management program which includes revamping scorecards and driving VA/VE projects, quality improvements and supplier development initiatives. The position will also be responsible for organizing, hiring, developing and ultimately leading the company’s Supplier Quality organization both in the US and abroad. The position will also be responsible for the development and administration of quality and information systems, analytic tools, and reporting, to provide required information to the procurement team, internal customers and leadership which facilitates the budgeting process, strategy execution and performance monitoring. The individual will have knowledge in strategic sourcing practices, along with a strong expertise in quality processes, tools and concepts, particularly lean six sigma in order to drive quality improvements within Springs Window Fashions and with its suppliers

    * Serve as the subject matter expert on the design, development and implementation of procurement standard procedures and policies in the areas of purchasing and supplier quality

    * Support the global procurement strategy by driving supplier VA/VE initiatives and being accountable for key quality and process improvement initiatives both internally and externally with vendors

    * Facilitate cross functional engagement with Sourcing and Finance teams in support of project execution and financial performance reporting

    * Analyze and track performance to Sourcing financial goals, develop and publish weekly reports to ensure accuracy. Hold weekly reviews with internal teams to develop necessary action plans.

    * Identify technology, data and information deficiencies, best practices and/or ideas, and then manage multiple projects for the development of Procurement related systems/tools. Lead and facilitate project schedules, develop action plans to ensure targeted milestones are met.

    * Engage the Business Leadership team to develop sourcing programs / processes that deliver enhanced productivity

    * Collaborate with managers in setting realistic / challenging operational goals during the annual budgeting cycles 

    * Lead the supplier quality team both domestically and internationally 

    * Lead the company’s supplier performance management system which involves the development and implementation of supplier scorecards

    * Lead and/or help facilitate supplier Quality Reviews and improve Supplier quality methods using six sigma tools and methodologies

    * Deploy training in areas such as six sigma or strategic sourcing to further enhance the capability and performance of the procurement team

    Critical Success Factors

    * Experience in a procurement, supply chain management and/or supplier quality. Knowledge in strategic sourcing best practices is not required but a positive

    * Demonstrated background and proven experience with process deployment, data analysis, supplier evaluation, commodity management and performance reporting

    * Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including, but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Outlook. Advanced Excel skills a must

    * Experience and qualifications in lean manufacturing principles and six sigma, leading Kaizen events, and the ability to mentor others in six sigma concepts and projects

    * Strong leadership and teaming capabilities with the ability to operate independently, affect change across functions, and have a track record of delivered results

    * Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects/work streams simultaneously

    * Experience working independently in a highly decentralized yet matrixed, and hands-on organization with the ability to resourcefully innovate and adapt in a rapidly changing, fast paced and highly complex environment

    * Strong negotiation, written/oral communication, effective presentation and facilitation, team leadership development, conflict resolution, and influence skills

    * Highly effective project management skills with a complete understanding of business process and the ability to integrate multiple resources for integrated solutions; execute flawlessly with high attention to detail

    * Ability to create a process and quality culture that improves the performance of the organization and ultimately the delivery of the company's window covering products

    * Effectively create, establish and maintain procurement systems functionally and prevent defects by effectively working on upstream processes

    * Meet goals set by upper management through Quality and/or Process Improvement Projects


    Education and experience

    * Bachelor's degree, preferably in a technical competency, minimum in a business/industrial related field. Black Belt certification in six sigma, MBA a plus 

    * 8+ years of sourcing/supply chain experience and/or leadership in supplier quality

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

    * Leadership and commodity management experience. 

    * Experience interacting with cross functional teams including engineering, quality, materials, logistics, sales & marketing. 

    * Demonstrated supplier management skills, and ability to collaborate with suppliers to create value for both companies 

    * Project management experience and skills developing and deploying policies and procedures

    * Strong analytical and quantitative abilities. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Microsoft Project

    * Ability to develop and balance both short and long term strategies and initiatives. 

    * Effective two-way communication and executive presentation skills. 

    * Professional business acumen.

    * Willingness to travel, particularly overseas

    * C.P.M. or C.P.I.M. certification a plus

    * Knowledge and expertise in quality systems such as lean, six sigma, etc.
