Job Summary:
The Production Technician Level 4 at PowerShades is a senior level role, trained in all production processes, who drives innovation, and ensures operational excellence. This role requires extensive technical expertise, strategic problem-solving, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Level 4 technicians are instrumental in developing and implementing advanced manufacturing solutions to meet company goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advanced Technical Leadership:
- Oversee the processing, assembly, testing, provisioning, shipping and troubleshooting for all configurations of shading systems offered by PowerShades.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for advanced production technologies and methods.
- Lead the integration of new equipment, tools, and techniques into production processes.
- Strategic Problem-Solving:
- Identify, analyze, and resolve systemic production challenges to improve efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with engineering and design teams to implement innovative solutions for product and process improvements.
- Quality Assurance and Standards Enforcement:
- Develop and enforce stringent quality assurance protocols to ensure all products exceed customer expectations.
- Conduct advanced quality inspections, audits, and failure analyses.
- Recommend and implement improvements based on quality data trends.
- Team Leadership and Development:
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to all levels of Production Technicians.
- Coordinate and manage cross-functional teams to execute complex production initiatives.
- Assist the Manufacturing Manager in workforce planning and resource allocation.
- Process Improvement and Innovation:
- Lead initiatives to enhance Lean Manufacturing practices and eliminate waste.
- Drive the development and implementation of automation and other advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Monitor and improve production metrics, including cycle time, throughput, and cost efficiency.
- Safety and Regulatory Compliance:
- Champion a culture of safety by enforcing compliance with all safety standards and practices.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions to minimize hazards.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain and review detailed records of production activities, quality assurance checklists, and troubleshooting efforts.
- Provide comprehensive reports to management on production performance, challenges, and improvement opportunities.
