Production Scheduler - Edison, NJ (Mechoshade)

Your Best Career Experience Accountabilities
- Review incoming orders in the Scheduling tool by checking material availability using the promising tool to assign appropriate MFG and ESD.
- Obtain ETA on pending information from procurement and review material holds twice a day.
- Firm orders to achieve goal of time to firm in 24 hr.
- Improve and maintain OTS (On Time Ship) to meet 95% goals.
- Provide updates to Corporate about any delays or shortages so they can communicate effectively to customers.
- Review and release MTS (make to stock) to support production.
- Report and resolve any issues and/or discrepancies to customer service.
- Develop a production schedule and coordinate with all parties to execute the schedule to meet customer expectations.
- Run material shortages report to update orders for MFG’s and ESD’s.
- Schedule Branch Transfer and marketing swatches.
- Answer emails and phone calls as required.
- Attend and/or drive meetings as needed.
- Cross train on all areas of Scheduling.
- Good communication skills (written and verbal). Must be able to communicate effectively and work in a cooperative manner to support a team environment and company objectives.
- Provide technical support for internal and external customers.
- Clearly defines and utilizes processes in daily work.
- Participate in lean activities and Kaizen events as required.
