Description

Job Summary: The Warehouse Team Lead at PowerShades is responsible for overseeing and managing all inventory-related activities, ensuring optimal stock levels, accuracy, and efficiency within the supply chain. This role involves supervising inventory staff, implementing inventory control procedures, and collaborating with other departments to support production and customer satisfaction. The Warehouse Team Lead is integral to maintaining smooth operations and achieving organizational goals.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Inventory Management:
    • Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, ensuring data integrity.
    • Monitor stock levels and reorder points to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
    • Develop and implement inventory control procedures to improve accuracy and efficiency.
  2. Process Improvement:
    • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization.
    • Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance inventory management systems.
    • Collaborate with IT and operations teams to integrate inventory systems with ERP software.
  3. Team Leadership:
    • Supervise, train, and support the inventory team to ensure high performance.
    • Delegate tasks and provide clear guidance on inventory-related processes.
    • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment to achieve departmental goals.
  4. Coordination and Communication:
    • Work closely with the production, procurement, and sales teams to align inventory with operational needs.
    • Communicate effectively with vendors and suppliers to manage delivery schedules and resolve discrepancies.
    • Support the fulfillment of customer orders by ensuring the availability of required inventory.
  5. Auditing and Reporting:
    • Conduct regular inventory audits to verify accuracy and compliance with company standards.
    • Generate detailed inventory reports and present findings to management.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inventory and provide actionable insights.
  6. Compliance and Safety:
    • Ensure inventory storage complies with safety and regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure inventory area.
    • Address any issues related to damaged or expired products.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years in inventory management, logistics, or a similar role.
    • Proven experience with ERP systems and inventory software.
  • Skills:
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
    • Effective communication and leadership capabilities.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move items up to 50 pounds as needed.
  • Standing and walking for extended periods in a warehouse/manufacturing floor environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
  • Occasional exposure to varying temperatures in storage areas.

Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing floor environment with occasional exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures as well as an office environment.
  • Frequent interaction with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • Use of standard office and inventory management equipment.
