Mecho is the leading commercial solar shading, and intelligent controls systems development manufacturer that has pioneered the industry and is committed to design and functional excellence.  Our sales force is recognized for pioneering innovative and classic window management solutions to the Architecture, Design, and Engineering Community and supporting our network of limited Mecho Dealer network.  The expectation of this employee is to achieve the annual sales objective for the assigned territory by educating and securing specifications for day-to-day and project specific business with each of these important sectors.

 

Mission

The Sales Operations Manager will lead their team to support the Best Experience philosophy to ensure customers receive the best quality and service by interfacing with Mechoshade Engineering, Estimating, Sales, and Technical Support departments 

 

Objectives

  • Manage and mentor a team of project management.
    • Monitor and report on key departmental performance indicators.
    • Building and maintaining positive business relationships.
    • Raise the level of service so to retain accounts, increase profitability/sales.
    • Accurately interpreting and entering orders for all accounts for all product lines to ensure customers receive the best quality and service.
    • Responsible for the review of architectural and production drawings.
  • Establish systems and procedures to improve efficiency. Improve on-time production criteria.
  • Reporting to the Director of Sales Operations for in-depth knowledge of manual & motorized shading control systems; expertise in conceptualizing MSS product implementations, examining existing assumptions and formulating most effective, value-added results, within scope of responsibility
  • Working collaboratively with MSS Managers, customers, project management and customer service staff to identify and apply creative approaches to resolve product obstacles and problems across multiple/concurrent projects; communicating product information to relevant parties and providing guidance to coworkers on issues, tools and techniques, product enhancements, changes to processes and related information to resolve product line problems and offer options, alternative outcomes and possible implications of various courses of action.
  • Leading a team made up of Project Managers, Project Coordinators as they:
    • Plan & manage Masterfile projects
    • Monitor job progress
    • Communicate project dependencies internally
    • Track project cost & profitability
  • Developing in-depth knowledge of MSS products and guide project management, CAD and customer service staff in his team in product techniques across multiple complex projects; mentoring in various areas of expertise; applying strong analytical skills to resolve difficult customer problems.
  • Representing the interests of MSS and the dealer, monitoring progress, risks and issues & ensuring that more complex projects are on time and within proposed financial targets for profitability, including ability to travel to various job sites.
  • Having a strong understanding of technical specifications, cost, risk and “as built” implications of potential decisions, incorporating this into recommendations; seeking and sharing information with team members and customers on as needed basis, and responding to concerns with timely, meaningful, fact-based feedback.
  • Taking initiative to achieve value-added results within scope of responsibility; assisting the Director in profitability analysis of multiple complex projects.
  • Liaison between Purchasing, Production Planning, Engineering, Accounting dept.’s. for internal resource coordination; setting meetings and agenda, assigning functional responsibilities and tracking performance against agreed commitments.
  • Assuming Project Management responsibility for larger/complex projects on as needed basis.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year organization/university
  • Field of Study: Architectural or Construction
  • Job requires 3 to 5 years of previous related work experience. 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated success at managing and mentoring personnel, systems development, and establishing priorities.
  • Familiarity with electro-mechanical, low voltage controls, and high rise commercial construction is a plus.
  • A solid knowledge of a MechoSystem’s products, estimating system, order processing system, manufacturing process,
  • The ability to read shop drawings
  • Excellent written and language skills
  • Exercises independent judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Has a solid knowledge of company’s policies and procedures.
  • Writing summary reports in a clear and concise manner
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, QuickBase, or other PM and/or ERP software a strong plus.
  • Experience in establishing systems and procedures.
  • Experience and/or exposure to computerized project scheduling.
  • Familiarity with Building Automation a plus.
