Description

Springs Window Fashions is hiring a Bilingual (English & Spanish) Human Resources Generalist for our Cesta business unit in Hialeah, FL.

 

This is an onsite role, remote work is not an option

Job Summary

 

Under the direction of the HR Manager, the HR Generalist will be a first point of contact in cultivating a best experience by assisting employees on a variety of topics, providing excellent customer service, and timely follow up. This position will champion and drive a variety of human resource initiatives including recognition, special events, community involvement and provide overall support to the human resources department.   The HR Generalist will build strong relationships with team members and employees by being a proactive and approachable partner. 

 

Job Duties:

  • Assists with full cycle recruitment activities including internal recruiting efforts through the Springs applicant tracking system, facilitating walk-in applicants, coordinating interviews to ensure the best experience for candidates and leaders, and participating in the interview process when needed.
  • Maintaining day-to-day relationships with staffing agencies to assist with quality hiring.
  • Oversees associate referral program.
  • Organizing the first 5-10 days for New Hires such as: basic orientation, new hire paperwork, and site-specific onboarding programs.
  • Performing regular check-ins with all associates, as needed.
  • Completes and maintains I-9 files in accordance with Federal Law and follow-up on expired cards.
  • Support leader in the performance appraisal, review process for factory associates and ensure timeliness. This includes coaching factory supervisors on proper form completion.
  • Assist in the administration of factory hourly annual performance and compensation cycle.
  • Maintains confidentiality and ensures that HRIS information and files are up to date, accurate and meets established data integrity criteria.
  • Maintain filing and records as required.
  • Effectively communicates with a diverse group of customers as well as internal contacts at all levels of the organization.
  • Assists in and be the site go to person for HR activities including EEO, Affirmative Action, and Annual Enrollment.
  • Recommends changes in practices or procedures and improves workflow processes.
  • Independent judgment is required to plan, prioritize, and organize diversified workload.
  • Be the Engagement Champion for the factory. This includes but is not limited to organizing events such Town Halls, Lunch and learn, People Matters meetings, coordination of recognition program for the site, and retirement parties. Also, keeping a pulse on the factory and providing feedback and insights to the HRM and site leadership when needed.
  • Generates and distributes reports as requested by leaders.
  • Manages the reception area by answering phones, taking messages, transferring calls, direct associates’ questions to appropriate subject matter expert.
  • Provides administrative support for Human Resource Manager and broader organization including HR data entry and assisting in the management of the HR@springswindowfashions.com inbox.
  • Completes any necessary duties in the absence of the HRM.

Requirements

 

Education & Experience

  • Must be bi-lingual in English and Spanish.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or Business, preferred.
  • 2+ years of HR/Administration experience within a manufacturing facility preferred but not required.
  • Excellent written & verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced detail-oriented environment.
  • Must be able to use Microsoft Office programs effectively & efficiently.
  • Experience and proficiency with various web-based software applications and Applicant Tracking Systems preferred.
  • Exceptionally high degree of professionalism and integrity.
  • Self-starter with a high level of initiative and ownership.
