Mission 

The Residential Sales Training Team is dedicated to delivering the Best Experience for our employees, customers, and end-users. As an Instructional Designer, you will be integral in training our Springs Window Fashions internal sales teams and external customers. Utilizing strategic thinking and planning, we develop meaningful and engaging training around product knowledge and selling skills. Training at SWF comes in many forms—from web-based modules and videos to in-person, hands-on courses. As a part of our team, you will help us to achieve our goal of enhancing the expertise of all those who represent our products.

 

Objectives

  • Design and develop instructional materials tailored to various internal and external audiences.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure training content is accurate, relevant, and comprehensive.
  • Utilize multiple formats (print, audio, visual, multimedia) to create engaging learning solutions, including web-based modules, videos, instructor-led training, and virtual sessions.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary revisions to improve outcomes.
  • Project manage training-related projects, ensuring successful implementation and alignment with strategic initiatives.
  • Support the organization’s learning goals by creating a climate where continuous improvement is emphasized.

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in instructional design, education, or a related field is required.
  • 2 to 4 years of experience in instructional design, curriculum development, or similar roles.
  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design models, adult learning principles, and e-learning best practices.
  • Experience working independently under minimal supervision, with the ability to handle complex training design tasks.
  • Prior experience in developing instructor-led and digital training sessions is preferred.
  • Knowledge and ability to apply adult learning theories.
  • Willingness to travel – potential of up to 20% travel

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Strong knowledge of learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning development tools, such as Articulate Storyline and Rise.
  • Proficient in various multimedia tools for creating digital training content.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills to manage multiple training initiatives and meet deadlines.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt and optimize training programs based on feedback and evaluation results.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams, demonstrating customer orientation and focus on delivering user-centered learning solutions.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing needs and priorities in a fast-paced work environment.
