Job Summary

The Data & Analytics Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing data-driven solutions to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of the Supply Chain and Procurement operations. This individual will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and interpret data, providing actionable insights that drive improvements in decision-making processes.

 

Data Management

Develop and maintain a robust data infrastructure for the Supply Chain and Procurement functions.

Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of data through regular audits and validation processes.

 

Data Analysis

Perform in-depth analysis of historical and real-time data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.

Create dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for better decision-making.

Forecasting and Predictive Analytics:

Utilize advanced analytics techniques to develop accurate demand forecasts, helping optimize inventory levels and reduce lead times.

Implement predictive analytics models to identify potential risks and opportunities in the Supply Chain.

Process Optimization:

Collaborate with Supply Chain and Procurement teams to identify inefficiencies and bottlenecks in current processes.

Recommend and implement data-driven solutions to streamline workflows and enhance overall operational efficiency.

Vendor Performance Analysis:

Evaluate and monitor vendor performance metrics using historical and real-time data.

Provide insights to enhance vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, and identify potential alternative suppliers.

Continuous Improvement:

Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data analytics.

Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation within the Supply Chain and Procurement functions.

Requirements

Education and Experience

 

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Analytics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data analysis, business intelligence, and analytics.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools and statistical analysis software.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of supply chain and procurement processes is a plus.

Knowledge, Skills, and Ability

  • Strong knowledge of statistics and experience using various statistical methods to analyze large data sets (various distribution sets, regression analysis, ANOVA etc.)
  • Strong knowledge and experience with databases and statistical reporting packages and basic programming (SQL and non-SQL based)
  • Demonstrated ability to apply analytical tools and data visualization techniques to create clear and effective communication strategies
  • Knowledge of Supply Chain Processes
  • Effective project management skills
  • Effective organization and time management skills
